Workers Compensation Administrator

Prestigious, national maintenance company with 10, 000 plus employees seeks a temporary worker's compensation administrator for their gorgeous Downtown Miami offices. This will be a 12 week assignment.
He or she will be responsible for coordinating and improving the quality of worker's compensation claim handling while effectively managing the flow of claims information to all levels of company management, insurance companies, doctors as well as coordinating their return-to-work efforts.
Maintains all employee injury reports from field and reports same as required to the appropriate insurance carriers
Acts as Liaison between management, claims adjusters, and injured employee.
Establishes open transparent communication with injured worker and facilitates and promotes their trust
Follows-up with injured workers insuring they receive proper medical treatment and that follow up appointments, diagnostic tests and examinations are scheduled and attended.
Explains the workers compensation claims process to the injured employee and the roles of each of the involved parties; Insurance adjusters, management and medical professionals.
Maintains up to date records of each case and updates them as required
Produces reports of claim progress including diagnosis, prognosis and return to work efforts
Works with local Safety and Health representatives in developing transitional return to work positions.
Works with claims adjusters in offering transitional work to injured workers and help to resolve related issues or disputes
Maintains all state OSHA logs and updates them as required
Associates Degree in business or related field
Experience in healthcare, HR or Customer Service
General Knowledge of Workers' Comp laws and regulations
Possess strong analytical and organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong oral and written communication skills
Experience in MS Office
